- Loosen the cord nut at the motor back-end. (Fig. 1)

- Remove two screws that secure the carbon brushes with a flat-blade screw driver. (Fig. 2)

- Screw the pull-out screw, which is provided in a replacement carbon brush case, a few threads into the hole from which the short screw was removed in Step. (2). Remove the carbon brush by pulling out this screw. (Fig. 3)
Mount new carbon brushes in place, and secure them with the short screws used on the removed brushes.- Insert the cord nut pins into the holes on the motor, aligning the marked pin to the marked hole (red marked or molded + marking) and non-marked pin to non-marked hole. (Fig. 4)
* If the marked one is connected to the non-marked one, the motor runs in the reverse direction.
